Lecture series on Indian Knowledge System organised at Glocal University

Glocal University and Indigenious organization organized a lecture series titled “One Nation: National Education Policy 2020: Indian Knowledge System.” It was organized under the inspiration and patronage of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti. The coordination of the program was done by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Sharma and Co-coordinator Dr. Shobha Tripathi. The collaborators included Ms. Ashrita Dubey, Ms. Asha Chaudhary, and Ms. Simmi. This program discussed national unity and integrity through the traditional Indian knowledge system.

The main speakers were Mr. Praveer, IIT Kharagpur. Other key speakers included Acharya Sarveshwar Nath Prabhakar,  Professor Ashok Kumar and Professor Dinakar Malik. The programme was chaired by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Sharma. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp and the offering of garlands to the portraits of Mother Saraswati and Swami Vivekananda. After the Saraswati Vandana, the Vice Chancellor honored and welcomed the guests. In his address, he said that India has always followed the tradition of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.” “Unity in Diversity” is our traditional identity.
Acceptance and harmony have always been predominant in our cultural tradition. It is this acceptance and harmony that has established us as a world guru. People from all over the world used to come to our ancient universities for education. Today, it is again necessary for us to search for that dimension of our original education along with new technologies, which could reach the sky where the vision of the whole world is towards us, for this, we will also have to search for that dimension of our original education along with new technologies, from space to oceanography. Chief Finance Officer CA A.P. Singh then recited a poem in praise of Mother India. In his presidential address, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Sharma said that along with modern knowledge of science, we should also focus on the development of new skills. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kumar Mishra thanked and suggested to include the Indian knowledge System  in the curriculum.
The program was conducted by Dr. Shobha Tripathi and Ms. Ashrita Dubey. Among the assisting students were Chandan Pandey, Chirag, Suraj, Anshu, Noor Azam, Soeb, along with others Arun Kumar and Vipin Kumar.
On this occasion, Chief Proctor Jameer-ul-Islam, Public Relations Officer Dr. Mohd Wazid Khan, Dean Pharmacy Dr.Umesh Kumar, Dean Law Dr. Preetam Singh Panwar, Dean Business Dr. Vijay Kumar, Dean Arts Dr. Vasim Ahmad, Principal Nursing Dr. Roshan Kahar, Sagar Kaushik along with other speakers and students were present.
