Inspired by the vision of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti, Glocal University organized a workshop on “Outcome Based Education in Higher Education”. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp in the grand auditorium of Glocal University. Subsequently, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Sharma, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Mishra, and Registrar Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Pandey felicitated guests with floral bouquets, shawls, and mementos.
The welcome speech and opening remarks of this workshop were delivered by Organizing Chair Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Sharma. The coordinator of this workshop was D.S.W. Swarnima Singh. Co-coordinators of the event were Chief Proctor Md. Jameerul Islam, Public Relations Officer Dr. Mohd Wazid Khan, Dr. Vijay Kumar, Dr. Mohd Yusuf, Dr. Waseem Ahmad, and Hina Rajput. The workshop was moderated by Gautam Pawar.
Distinguished speakers highlighted various aspects of outcome-based education in higher education. In the first session of the workshop, Prof. (Dr.) Ranchay Bhateja from KIET School of Management, Ghaziabad, expressed her views on “The Emerging Role of Outcome-Based Education in Higher Education.” In the second session, Prof. and IQAC Head Dr. Subodh Kumar Sharma from ABESIT Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad, discussed “Design and Mapping of Outcomes and Practical Activities.” In the third session, Dr. Mandeep Kumar Arora, Head of School of Pharmaceutical and Population Health Informatics, DIT University, Dehradun, shared his thoughts on “Bloom’s Taxonomy: A Perspective towards Outcome-Based Technical Education.”
The program concluded with a closing speech and vote of thanks by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Mishra, followed by the national anthem.
In addition to the esteemed dignitaries mentioned above, CFO A.P. Singh (C.A.), Dr. Reshma Tahir, Professor Sanjay Kumar along with department heads, educational staff, and research scholars from all departments, enthusiastically participated in the program.
