Under the patronage of Global University’s Additional Vice-Chancellor Syed Nizamuddin, the inspiration of Vice-Chancellor Professor John Finbey, and the motivation of Registrar Professor Shivani Tiwari, the Hindi Week celebrations at Global University concluded with great enthusiasm and dignity. The program was coordinated by Dean of Student Welfare Dr. Shobha Tripathi, with Dean of Arts Dr. Wasim Ahmed as the special guide. Renowned senior literary figure Shrikant Sharma was the chief guest. The program began with a Vani Vandana presented by Kajal Mishra. Following this, the chief guest expressed his views, saying that Hindi is not just a language, but our cultural heritage, which the new generation should preserve and promote. The more we use it, the more it will help keep it alive. He then recited a powerful poem on Veer Abdul Hamid. On this occasion, students from the university’s DSW team presented an impressive play titled “Opening of the Graveyard,” a social satire, which was appreciated by all the guests and audience present. The play, through humor and satire, inspired reflection on serious issues facing society. Saurabh Kumar, Anand Kumar, Chirag Kumar, Parvez, Suraj, Amit, and Naveen participated in the play. Finally, the Registrar addressed the students, stating that they should not feel ashamed of speaking Hindi. He urged the Government of India to make special efforts to grant Hindi the status of the national language. The Chief Guest presented awards to students who excelled in various competitions. All faculty members, including all faculty members and students, were present at the ceremony.
