On 13th of March 2024, India witnessed a significant milestone in its journey towards becoming a global hub for semiconductor manufacturing. Under the banner of ‘India’s Techade-Chips for Viksit Bharat’ programme, the nation embarked on a transformative initiative aimed at bolstering its technological prowess and fostering innovation. The Glocal University actively participated in this historic event, albeit virtually, echoing its commitment to nurturing future technologists and innovators. Live streaming of the whole programme was attended by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Sharma, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Mishra, Registrar Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Pandey, Dean Academic Affairs Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar, various HODs, faculty members and students in the Auditorium. By showcasing the opportunities and potential offered by the semiconductor industry, the university aimed to encourage students to pursue careers in STEM fields and contribute to India’s technological progress.
