ROAD SAFETY WEEK OBSERVED AT GLOCAL UNIVERSITY
Road safety is an issue of prime concern to all. Be it a pedestrian, rickshaw puller or a vehicle driver, anyone can fall prey to mishaps on roads.
Glocal University is observing Road Safety week from 11.01.2023 to 17.01.2023 andRoad Safety Awareness Month from 05.01.2023 to 04.02.2023 with the aim of encouraging road safety practices and to spread awareness around road safety. On 13th January 2023, under the visionary flagship of honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof (Dr.) P.K.Bharti, the Department of Students Welfare organized an event on Road Safety Awareness with great pride and enthusiasm in Medical Auditorium. Honourable Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr) P.K.Bharti, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Satish Kumar Sharma, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Pankaj Kumar Mishra, Dean Academics Dr Pramod Kumar,Registrar Dr R.D. Diwedi, Campus Director Dr. Shiw Parsan Pandey were present during the event to encourage students. The event purpose was to spread awareness about road safety among students and faculty members of Glocal University.
There was a talk session about road safety by Mrs. Swarnima Singh, Dean Students.
Then there was a speech competition on Road Safety Practices, many students from various departments of the University participated in the competition. The event was followed by a screening of documentary on road safety awareness for all the members present in the Medical Auditorium. The event ended with Vote of thanks and announcement of upcoming events based on Road safety awareness by DSW team member Ms. Ronika.
