Prof. Sharma is the Senior Mentor for the Pharma Lok Team; National President of the Pharmaceutical Educational Society (PESOTS); Executive Council Member, APTI (UP State branch); and has also served as the Joint Secretary of the Society of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (SPER) in Uttar Pradesh; core committee member of APTICON 2023 and Co-chairman, IPGA (Academic Division). He completed his B. Pharm from DIPSAR (University of Delhi) with distinction and earned an M. Pharm (Pharmacology) from DIPSAR (University of Delhi) with a Gold Medal. He subsequently obtained his Ph.D. from MJRP University, Rajasthan. Prof. Sharma has played an instrumental role in organizing and co-chairing major pharmaceutical events, including the 65th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (Co-chairman, Medical Services), Organizing Chairman, India Pharma Convention at DIPSAR (University of Delhi), and the 70th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (Co-chairman, Medical Services LOC).
Prof. Sharma has actively participated in over 100 national and international conferences as a resource person/session chair. Prof. Sharma has done extensive research work in the areas of Cardiovascular and Endocrine Pharmacology, Nutraceuticals in Metabolic Disorders, Phytopharmacology, Infectious Disease Management and Molecular Pharmacology. He has collaborated on research projects with prestigious institutions such as the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi; Artemis Heart Institute, Gurugram; Biotech Park, Lucknow; Institute of Toxicology, Ghaziabad and the Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), New Delhi. He has authored more than 110 research papers and articles published in SCI, SCOPUS, WOS and UGC Care indexed journals; and 17 patents. Additionally, he has written three books and contributed to 13 book chapters. He has supervised numerous M. Pharm and Ph.D. scholars.
Prof. Sharma has delivered over 200 invited talks, faculty development programs (FDP), and professional development programs (PDP) on diverse topics such as the National Education Policy 2020, Cardiovascular Pharmacology, the Role of Nutraceuticals in Metabolic Disorder Management, Teaching Methodologies, Yoga and Holistic Development, Stress Management, Human Values and Professional Ethics, Indian Knowledge Systems, Leadership in Higher Education, Current Trends in Pharmaceutical Education, and Research Methodology at various national and international platforms. He is a life member of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India, Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Indian Hospital Pharmacists Association, Indian Pharmacy Graduates’ Association, Society of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, CEGR and PESOTS.
Throughout his distinguished career, Prof. Satish Sharma has been honored with numerous national and international accolades for his outstanding contributions to higher education, research, and societal development. Notable awards include the most prestigious Prof. ML Schroff Memorial Pharma Ratna Award, the Pro Vice Chancellor of the Year Award 2022, the Exemplary Leadership Award at the Healthcopeia Congress, Fellow Award by PESOTS, Excellence in Reviewing Award, Global Teaching Excellence Award, IAECT Distinguished Educator Award, Academic Excellence Awards at various platforms, Innovative Academic Leader Award, Shiksha Gaurav Puraskar, Best Research Paper Award, and Academic Excellence Recognition from the Indian Pharmaceutical Association.
