On February 27-28th, Glocal University celebrated National Science Day 2024 on the theme “Science for a Sustainable Future” with great enthusiasm and vigour, aiming to promote scientific temper and encourage scientific innovations among the students and faculty members. On this occasion, two major activities were organized for the celebration viz poster making and essay writing competition and an expert lecture sessions by renowned persons.
On February 27th 2024, Day 1 starts with the opening message by Dr. Mohd Yusuf followed by Poster Competition and Essay Writing Competition.
Day 2 starts with the Lamp lighting. The welcome speech was addressed by Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar, Dean Academic Affairs and the Organizing Chair. Opening remarks delivered by Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Sharma, Pro Vice Chancellor, Glocal University. Thereafter, Lecture Session was meticulously organized on February 28th 2024, on the occasion of National Science Day 2024, symbolizing its profound influence in sparking the interest of individuals to pursue careers in the field of science.
Noteworthy among the speakers was Mr. Anurag Kumar, the esteemed Director of NIELIT Haridwar, who delivered an exceptional lecture focusing on how sustainable science and technology can pave the way for a sustainable future lifestyle.
In addition to Mr. Anurag Kumar’s enlightening discourse, Mr. Nikhil Ranjan, the esteemed Senior Programme Coordinator at NIELIT Haridwar, provided invaluable insights into the role of technological gadgets in enhancing our lifestyles.
Then, announcement of winners of competition of Day 1 activities was made and the awards and certificates were distributed to the students.
1st position for Poster Competition given to Nishat Gauri, 2nd position given to Nikita and Sakshi was on 3rd position. 1st Position for Essay Writing Competition given to Khushi Rawat, 2nd position given to Hiba Zaidi and Mohd Aamir was on 3rd position.
The valedictory session involved the concluded remarks and vote of thanks, addressed by Prof. (Dr.) P. K. Mishra, Pro Vice Chancellor, Glocal University. The program ended with the National Anthem.
