MAKAR SANKRANTI ORGANIZED AT GLOCAL UNIVERSITY
The first festival of year 2023, Makar Sankranti is believed traditionally to mark the arrival of spring in India. As it is the festival of Sun God and he is regarded as the symbol of divinity and wisdom, the festival also holds an eternal meaning to it.
On Saturday the 14th January 2023, Glocal had a Special Assembly for Lohri and Makar Sankranti organized by Dean Students Welfare of Glocal University.
Glocal faculty and staff celebrated these festival with full enthusiasm as they actively participated in different activities which were Singing and flying of kites on the campus,Central Plaza. All Higher Authorities of the University were present during the event.
Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof Dr P.K. Bharti wishes all members of Glocal University on this auspicious occasion, he enlightened all with his kind greetings.The event included with a short speech of Our Honble Pro Vice Prof Satish Kumar Sharma.
At last, the event ended with the great memories along with the short tea and snack distribution at the moment.
