GLOLCAL UNIVERSITY CELEBRATED 77TH “INDEPENDENCE DAY”
On 14th August 2023 the Glolcal University celebrated the 77th Independence Day under the guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the Glocal University, Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti.
The chief guests of the event and Vice Chancellor of the Glolcal University, Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti, and Guest of Honour Dr. S.K. Sharma, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar Sharma, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Mishra, Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Rakesh Dhar Dwivedi, Dean Academics Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar, Campus Director Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Pandey, C.F.O. A.K. Singh, Chief Proctor Jamir-ul-Islam, DSW Mrs. Swarnima Singh, IQAC Director Prof (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar and Public Relations Officer Dr. Mohd Wazid Khan along with other senior faculty members hoisted the national flag at the university’s central plaza. After the flag hoisting, the university’s students and staff sang the national anthem.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Bharti and Guest of Honour Dr. S.K. Sharma, along with Pro VC Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar Sharma and Pro VC Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Mishra, addressed the gathering, followed by cultural programs. The university’s students captivated the audience with their patriotic songs, speeches, and cultural performances.
During this event, meritorious students from each programme of the Glolcal University were honored with the “Student of the Year” award and certificates by Vice Chancellor and Guest of Honor.
In his address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Bharti said, ‘Glolcal University is wholeheartedly contributing to the nation’s illustrious traditions. The university continues to play a crucial and unprecedented role in making powerful, progressive, and prestigious nation. It will continue to walk hand in hand with the nation’s progress.’

In the last phase of the event, 400 trees were planted on the university’s campus as part of a tree plantation drive. The event concluded with the national anthem sung by the assembly. Many students, along with top university officials, teaching and non-teaching staff, participated in this event and the tree plantation program.”
