Glocal University Pharmacy College organized an orientation programme, Abhivinyas-2024, for its newly admitted students. The primary object of the programme was to provide information about university rules, courses and curriculum. The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Glocal University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti, who extended his best wishes for the students’ bright future.
Addressing the new students, Prof. (Dr.) P. K. Bharti emphasized that embracing human values enhances both personal and social success. Values such as honesty, empathy, and responsibility not only make one a better person but also an ideal citizen.
On this occasion, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar Sharma spoke about the importance of discipline and pharmacy. The event also saw the presence of Glocal University Pharmacy College’s Dean Prof. (Dr.) Umesh Kumar, Deputy Dean Prof. (Dr.) Varsha Deva, Chief Finance Officer C.A. A.P. Singh, and other faculty members.
Register of the Glocal University Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Pandey encouraged the students, stating that a disciplined life alongside education is crucial for overall personality development. He urged the students to stay serious about their studies and achieve success.
During the programme, the orientation team, including Prof. (Dr.) Abdul Hafeez (Coordinator), Prof. (Dr.) Yash Pratap (Co-Coordinator), and Prof. (Dr.) Siraj Anwar, informed the new students about the significant achievements of many alumni from the Pharmacy College.
The students of Glocal University Pharmacy College presented a street play on the necessity of medicine and showcased various cultural performances. Faculty members Dr. Shamoon Ahmed, Mr. Ashok Kumar, Mr. Johnny Kumar, Mr. Prabhat, Mr. Mohammad Asif, Mr. Firoz Alam, Mr. Zaid Chaudhary, and Monish Khan also briefed the students on the university’s disciplinary guidelines and academic traditions.
