On March 23, 2023, a felicitation ceremony was organized to honor 25 families of the martyrs of Saharanpur
on the occasion of Martyrs Day at the Glocal University.
After lighting the lamp at the beginning of this program, Glocal University Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) P. K.Bharti honored the guests invited in the program by giving them bouquets and mementos and said in his address that the martyrs have fought hard for the freedom of the country. The youth of India need to learn from him.
The guest of honor of the program was Mr. Sudhanshu, the district campaigner of the RSS said in his address that the felicitation ceremony done by Glocal University on the occasion of Martyrs Day is a commendable initiative. Later, the other guest of honor and district contact head of RSS, Mr. Raj Singh Rana said that the youth should take inspiration from the sacrifices of freedom fighters.
After this, the family members of 25 martyrs were honored with shawl, mementos and a check of eleven thousand rupees by the Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti, the both guest of honours and senior faculty members.
The programme was jointly coordinated by DSW Ms. Swarnima Singh and Mr. Mohammad Waseem.
The programme was ended with the National Anthem and the vote of thanks was given by Prof. P. K. Mishra.In this program, Registrar Professor R. D. Dwivedi, Campus Director Prof. S. P. Pandey, Academic Dean Prof.Pramod Kumar along with various Heads of Departments, teachers, students, non-teaching staff and people from neighborhood were also present.
