Glocal University celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The ceremony featured the Chief Guest and Vice-Chancellor of the Glocal University, Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti, along with Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar Sharma and Pro-Vice-Chancellor
Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Mishra, Registrar Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Pandey, CFO A.P. Singh (CA), DSW Dr. Swarnima Singh, Dr. Reshma Tahir, Admin Director Mr. Gurudayal Katiyar, and Chief Proctor Md. Jamirul Islam, who hoisted the national flag at the university’s Central Plaza Lawn. Following the flag hoisting, students and staff sang the National Anthem.
In his address, Vice-Chancellor of the Glocal University Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti highlighted that Glocal University is actively advancing the country’s rich traditions with full vigor. He emphasized the university’s significant and unique role in making the nation capable, progressive, and proud, and its commitment to playing an active role in the nation’s future progress.
The event also included cultural programs, where students captivated the audience with patriotic songs, speeches, and performances. CFO A.P. Singh (CA) added to the patriotic spirit with his poetry.
During the ceremony, meritorious students from various programmea were honored with the “Student of the Year” awards and certificates by Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti, along with Pro Vice Chancellors Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar Sharma, Pro Vice Chancellors Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Mishra, Registrar Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Pandey, and Pro-Vice-Chancellor Ayush Prof. (Dr.) John Finbe.
The event was conducted by DSW Dr. Swarnima Singh and Mhd. Waseem.
The celebration saw a large turnout of university’s senior officials, teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as students.
