Glocal University of Saharanpur celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with great enthusiasm. On this occasion, the idol of Bhagwaan Shri Ganesh Ji
was installed at the university. The installation was conducted with due rituals by the Hon’ble
Pro Vice Chancellor of the Glocal University Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar Sharma on 7th September.
The festivities continued with students organizing a kirtan and bhajan programme during the morning and evening aarti on the following day. On the third day of the installation, the idol of Bhagwaan Shri Ganesh Ji was ceremoniously immersed, following proper rituals, worship, and havan. The immersion was led by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the Glocal University Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti, who accompanied the procession with traditional drumbeats.
During the event, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor wished for the welfare of the Glocal University, the Nation, and the entire world. In his address, he highlighted that Bhagwaan Shri Ganesh Ji, revered for his wisdom, is considered the foremost deity among the Gods and the master of prosperity and success. He emphasized that our actions and knowledge make us masters of prosperity and success, urging everyone to continuously strive to enhance their knowledge and skills.
The event was attended by Chief Financial Officer CA. A.P. Singh, IQAC Director Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar, Vice Principal of Aayurveda College Dr. Anoop Kumar, Campus Director Mr. Guru Dayal Singh Katiyar, DSW Dr. Swarnima Singh, Dean of GSBC Dr. Vijay Kumar, Dean of Pharmacy Prof. (Dr.) Umesh Kumar, Chief Proctor Md. Jamiul Islam, and faculty members and huge number of students.
The entire programme was coordinated by Dr. Shobha Tripathi and students of Ayurveda College. The enthusiastic students chanted praises of Lord Ganesh and proceeded to the Eastern Yamuna Canal, where the idol was immersed. The event concluded on 9th September with the distribution of prasad.
