Glocal University recently hosted its vibrant three-day annual event, Glocal Cultural Fest 2025, a dynamic blend of sports, culture, and intellectual competitions that brought the entire campus community together in celebration of creativity, diversity, and youthful spirit.
Day 1: Inauguration and Creative Showcases
The festival began with an enthusiastic Inaugural Ceremony, graced by Additional Pro Chancellor Mr. Nizamuddin, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) John Finbe, Registrar and Programme Convenor Prof. Shivani Tiwari, Prof. (Dr.) Shobha Tripathi, Academic Incharge Dr. Reshma Tahir, Chief Proctor Mr. Jamirul Islam, and other distinguished members of the academic leadership.
The day featured a variety of competitions celebrating artistic expression and sustainability, including the Speech Competition, Face Painting, Best Out of Waste, Mehndi, and Rangoli competitions.
The Badminton Tournament for both boys and girls added a spirited and competitive touch to the day’s proceedings, highlighting students’ dedication to sportsmanship and teamwork.
Day 2: Intellectual Prowess and Cultural Brilliance
The second day maintained the high energy, with events like the Tug of War and Chess Competition, testing students’ strength and strategic thinking.
The cultural lineup began with Bazm-e-Tehzeeb, followed by a colorful Dance Competition. Students also took part in a Poster Painting Competition, expressing social themes artistically, and a Singing Competition, which showcased impressive musical talent.
Day 3: A Festive Finale and Celebration of Charisma
The final day brought a vibrant close to the fest with stage performances, group events, and recognition of outstanding students.
A key highlight was the presentation of the ‘Student of the Year’ award, conferred on Mr. Shamsuddin (B.Sc. Agriculture) and Ms. Saloni Dheeman (Paramedical College), honoring their academic excellence and all-round contributions.
