Glocal College of Ayurvedic Medical Science & Research Centre and Glocal College of Unani Medical Science & Research Centre organized a grand White Coat Ceremony at the university auditorium. The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a Saraswati Vandana, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom.
Following the inaugural ritual, Prof. (Dr.) John Finbey (Pro-Vice Chancellor, AYUSH) delivered the welcome address. The event was further graced by the presence and motivational speeches of Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Sharma (Pro-Vice Chancellor), Dr. Nizamuddin (Advisor, Finance & Law), Dr. Shivani Tiwari (Registrar), and Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti, who guided and encouraged the students. The highlight of the event was the White Coat Ceremony, where newly admitted students were ceremonially donned with white coats, signifying their entry into the noble profession of medicine. This was followed by the oath-taking ceremony, wherein students pledged their dedication and commitment to the medical field with sincerity and service-mindedness. The oath was administered by Dr. Gorishankar, the senior faculty member of Glocal College of Ayurvedic Medical Science.
The event also featured cultural performances, with enthusiastic participation from students, adding vibrancy to the occasion. The ceremony concluded with a closing address by Prof. (Dr.) Rehan, Principal, Glocal College of Unani Medical Science & Research Centre, followed by the national anthem. The event was successfully conducted by Dr. Swarnima Singh, Dean of Students’ Welfare.
