On 17th August, 2024, a protest against sexual violence, doctors from Glocal College of Ayurvedic Medical Sciences and Research Center and Glocal Unani College, Glocal University, Saharanpur, organized a silent march in the campus of Glocal University . This march was held in response to the recent tragic incident of rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata.
The silent march began at 4 PM, with doctors, students, faculty members, and staff coming together. As a symbol of mourning and protest, participants wore black armbands and carried placards with messages demanding justice to the victim of sexual violence.
The silent march was attended by Dr. John Finbe, Principal of Glocal College of Ayurvedic Medical Sciences and Research Center, Dr. Anoop Kumar, Vice Principal, Dr. Rehan Safee, Principal of Glocal Unani College, Dr. Rehan from Glocal Hospital, and staff from Glocal College of Ayurveda and Glocal Unani College.
