The National Service Scheme (NSS) units of Glocal University, Saharanpur, organized a lecture and oath-taking ceremony on the occasion of Constitution Day. Honorable Vice Chancellor, Professor P.K. Bharti, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Distinguished guests included Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Satish Kumar Sharma, and Registrar, Professor Shivani Tiwari. The program was coordinated and conducted by Program Officer Dr. Shobha Tripathi, with assistance from the second Program Officer, Dr. Sanjeev Nandal.
In her address, the Registrar highlighted the importance of understanding and adhering to constitutional rules in our daily lives. Honorable Vice Chancellor, Professor P.K. Bharti, remarked on the significance of the Constitution during its inception, when India was undergoing the process of nation-building. He emphasized that the Constitution grants equal rights to everyone, which is the foundation of the liberties we enjoy today. He urged everyone to abide by the constitutional provisions, maintain law and order, and uphold India’s sovereignty. He then led the students in taking the oath of allegiance to the Constitution.
A lecture was also organized as part of the event. Dr. Ateka, Associate Professor at the Glocal School of Law, delivered a speech on the process of Constitution-making and its significance. The event was attended by Chief Finance Officer, CA A.P. Singh, Campus Director, Mr. Gurdayal Singh Katiyar, Dean of Student Welfare, Dr. Swarnima Singh, Chief Proctor, Mr. Zamir-ul-Islam, P.R.O. Dr. Wajid Khan, IT head Mr Shanwaz Ali, along with all the Deans, faculty members, and students from various departments. The program concluded with the National Anthem.
