As part of the Blood Donation Fortnight initiative of the Government of India, a Blood Donation Camp was successfully organized at Glocal Hospital under the auspices of Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Mr. Syed Nizamuddin, the inspiration of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Hriday Shankar Singh, the guidance of Registrar Prof. Shivani Tiwari, and the coordination of Program Officer Dr. Shobha Tripathi. The camp was jointly conducted by Unit I and Unit II of the National Service Scheme (NSS) of the University.
The event was supported by Helping Hands Emergency Blood Helpline as a partner organization. Valuable cooperation was also extended by Program Officer Dr. Sanjeev Nandal, Hospital In-charge Mr. Joginder, Chief Proctor Mr. Zamir Ul Islam, and Mr. Afzal Khan.
Despite inclement weather and heavy rainfall, a large number of volunteers came forward to contribute to this noble cause by donating blood. Among the donors were Chief Proctor Mr. Zamir Ul Islam, Mess staff members Prem Singh, Amit Kumar, Shubham Kumar, Rahul, Irfan, Sandeep, Anil, Aryan, Imran, students Sheikh Nuzhat, Iqra, Tayyab, Reyan, Vaibhav, Satyam, Abhishek, Avkash, and Rishabh.
In addition, several students extended their wholehearted support to the event, including Isha Pal, Mudassir Patel, Parvez Alam, Noor Azam, Samsuddin, Arshad Khan, Komal Jha, and Ravi Ranjan.
The Chief Guest, Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Mr. Syed Nizamuddin, along with District Hospital Representative Mr. Abid Khan, felicitated all blood donors with certificates in recognition of their contribution.
This initiative highlighted the spirit of service and social responsibility among the students and staff of Glocal University, reinforcing the message that “a single unit of blood can save multiple lives.”
