On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, Glocal University, Saharanpur, hosted a special event to honor its faculty members. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by the Vice Chancellor of the Glocal University Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Sharma, Registrar Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Pandey, deans, principal and distinguished guests.
In his address, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti emphasized the pivotal role teachers play in nation-building. He urged them to imbue students with exemplary character and virtues. He also highlighted the life of former President of India Dr. S. Radhakrishnan and encouraged teachers to draw inspiration from his life.
During the event, all faculty members of Glocal University were recognized and awarded in various categories by the Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, and Registrar. Certificates of honour were presented to them.
The programme was jointly organized by DSW Dr. Swarnima Singh, Chief Proctor Mr. Jamirul Islam, Mr. Mhd. Wasim, Mr. Sufiyan Mirza, and Ms. Wajiha Khan. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem. The event was attended by the university’s top officials and teaching staff.
