The Glocal University, Saharanpur, successfully conducted the Student Induction Programme for its Glocal School of Agriculture Science, School of Life and Natural Science, and School of Arts and Social Science. The event commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony performed by the Vice Chancellor of the Glocal University Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti.
In his address, Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti extended his best wishes to the new students for their bright future. He emphasized that the modern era is one of globalization, where merely completing a course is not enough. It is crucial to focus on skill development, hard work, and active participation in extracurricular activities for holistic development.
Dr. Mohammad Gulfishan, Dean of the School of Agriculture Science, welcomed all the guests. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Sharma highlighted that the modern era offers numerous job opportunities not only in agriculture and science but also in the arts and humanity. He encouraged students to stay focused on their chosen fields and maintain strong self-confidence to establish themselves globally.
Registrar of the Glocal University Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Pandey advised students to stay energetic and use their energy positively. DSW Dr. Swarnima Singh, introduced the university’s student committees and informed students about resources available for resolving their issues. Chief Proctor Mr. Md. Jamirul Islam briefed the students on the discipline rules of university.
The Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities Dr. Waseem Ahmad
and Dean of the School of Life and Natural Sciences Dr. Mohd Yusuf introduced the programmes, curriculum and faculty members of their respective schools.
The event was further enlivened by vibrant dance and music performances by the students. Dr. Shobha Tripathi concluded the program with a vote of thanks. The ceremony ended with the National Anthem.
