The Glocal Law School and Glocal School of Business and Commerce of the Glocal University, Saharanpur organized the orientation programme “Diksharambh – 2024” for new students. The event aimed to provide students with essential information about courses, curriculum and university’s regulations.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti, Vice Chancellor of the Glocal University.
During the event, Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bhart extended his best wishes for a bright future to the students and also highlighted the significance of dedication and hard work in the field of law and management. He encouraged students to embrace challenges and fully utilize the opportunities.
The ceremony also featured greetings from Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Sharma, Pro Vice Chancellor of Glocal University; Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Pandey, Registrar; and Dr. Swarnima Singh, Dean of Students Welfare.
The Chief Proctor of Glocal University Mr. Md. Jamirul Islam provided an overview of the university’s disciplinary rules. Dr. Vijay Kumar, Dean of the Glocal School of Business and Commerce, introduced various management courses to the new students.
Prof. (Dr.) P.S. Pawar, Dean of the Glocal Law School, and Dr. Atika Bano, Coordinator of the Diksharambh Program, detailed the diverse courses offered by the Glocal Law School.
The event also featured a street play (Nukkad Natak) on ‘law on crime against women’ presented by the students of the Glocal Law School. Students from both the Law and Management Schools showcased various cultural performances.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Khushboo Kausar, Assistant Professor, Glocal School of Business and Commerce. The programme was attended by deans & principles, faculty members, and a significant number of new students.
