The grand finale of the fourth edition of Meraki 4.0, the Annual Fest of Glocal University, unfolded with a spectacular Gala Dinner Party. Under the visionary leadership of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti, and the general supervision of Registrar, Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Pandey, the event celebrated the culmination of a five-day sports and cultural extravaganza.
Coordinated by Dr. Vijay Kumar, with co-coordinators DSW Mrs. Swarnima Singh and Dr. Varsha Deva, and hosted by faculties Ms. Rashda Rahman, Mr. Gautam Panwar & Students Zaid, Azeema, Siddhart, Areeba Bushra, Rehbar, the Gala Dinner Party commenced with the lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana in the Central Plaza of Glocal University.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti, delivered a warm welcome address, expressing appreciation for the enthusiastic participation and cooperation in organizing Meraki. The Core Organizing Committee, Welcome and Hospitality Committee, Sports Committee, Cultural Committee, Literary Committee, Prize Distribution Committee, Anchoring Committee, Media Committee, Transport and Hospitality Committee, Discipline Committee, Food Committee, Photography Committee, Stage Management Committee, Registration Committee and the Backend team were acknowledged for their valuable contributions. The Trophies were given to all the committee members as token of appreciation.
The programme featured captivating cultural performances by students, including Singing, Dancing, a fashion show, Bazm-e-Tehzeeb, and Two Minutes to Fame.
The prestigious Award Distribution Ceremony was led by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti, accompanied by esteemed Pro Vice-Chancellors, namely Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Sharma, Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Mishra, and Prof. (Dr.) John Finbay Baby, as well as the distinguished presence of Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar, and CFO A.K. Singh (C.A.). In the company of senior officials, faculties, and other dignitaries, the ceremony served as a platform to acknowledge and applaud the exceptional achievements of the winners and runners-up in various Sports, Literary and Cultural competitions. The recipients were honoured with awards, medals, certificates, and cash prizes, signifying their outstanding contributions and accomplishments.
The coveted “Mega Star of Meraki” trophy was awarded to Namra Ansari and Noor Alam in the women’s and men’s categories, respectively.
The evening continued with an energetic band performance by Rebecca Beats & Teams, captivating the audience and encouraging everyone to dance.
The event was attended by various departments, including IQAC Director (Prof.) Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Chief Proctor Mr. Jamirul Islam, Public Relations Officer Dr. Mohd Wazid Khan, Dr. Waseem Ahmed, Dr. Yash Pratap Singh, Mr. Ashok Kumar, Ms. Ashrita Dubey, Mr. Nitin Chaturvedi, Prof. P.S. Panwar, Mr. Guru Dayal Katiyar, Majid Ahmed & Heads of Departments, teachers, non-teaching staff, and other dignitaries, alongside a vibrant gathering of thousands of students.
The Gala Dinner Party marked the successful conclusion of Meraki 4.0, leaving lasting memories of a joyous and culturally rich celebration.
