On 24th March 2023, students of Glocal College of Nursing & Research Centre organized a tuberculosis (TB) awareness rally and skit on “World TB Day” in Sherpur, Pelo village Saharanpur with the theme “Yes! We can end TB”.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Vice Chancellor of the Glocal University Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti in order to increase awareness about tuberculosis, its causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment among the local community.
The rally began in the morning, and the students walked through the village, carrying placards and charts with messages about tuberculosis. They also distributed flyers and brochures containing information on TB. The students interacted with the locals, informing them about the disease and its impact on society. Later, the students organized a skit in the Panchayat Bhavan, which was attended by a large number of people. The skit highlighted the importance of early diagnosis, proper medication, and adherence to treatment.
After the skit, the students held an interactive session with the villagers, where they answered questions about TB and provided guidance on how to access treatment facilities. The event concluded with a pledge taken by the villagers to raise awareness about TB and encourage others to seek early diagnosis and treatment.
Overall, the TB awareness rally and skit organized by the college students in the rural community was a successful event in spreading awareness about the disease. It helped to educate the community about the importance of early diagnosis and adherence to treatment, which can go a long way in reducing the spread of TB and improving the health of the community.

Pandey, Dean Academics Dr. Pramod Kumar, Principal of Glocal College of Nursing & Research Centre Dr. Roshan Lal Kahar, Vice Principal Mr. Himanshu Massey and faculty co-ordinators Mrs. Meeta and Ms. Ronika. The students were assisted and guided to the rally by teachers Ms. Jyoti and Mr. Subhash.
