Successful Workshop on “Importance of AI Literacy in Academics and Careers” Organized at Glocal University
Saharanpur, 28th August 2025: The Glocal School of Science and Technology at Glocal University successfully organized a one-day workshop on “Importance of AI Literacy in Academics and Careers.”
The workshop was inaugurated and addressed by the Dean, Glocal School of Science and Technology,Professor Muhammad Mazhar Afzal, who emphasized the growing significance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in transforming education and shaping future career opportunities.
Ms. Fatima Perveen Aqil, the Workshop Coordinator, introduced the topic and warmly welcomed the participants. She then handed over the session to the speaker of the day, Mr. Mohd Kaif Malik, a final-year BCA student, who highlighted the importance of AI tools and conducted a hands-on demonstration of trending platforms such as ChatGPT, Gamma, Gemini, Bolt, and Julius.
The event witnessed active participation from faculty members across various schools, including Dr. Juwairiya Ilyas and Dr. Anam Sughra from the Unani School, Ms. Vaishali from the School of Law, Dr. Irshad from the School of Life Sciences, as well as Ms. Sakshi Lamba, Mr. Mohd. Nafees, Mr. Shadab Ali, and Mrs. Ankita Garg from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
The workshop was conducted smoothly and in a disciplined manner under the management and presence of the Chief Proctor, Mr. Jamirul Islam. Students participated enthusiastically and gained valuable insights into the practical applications of AI tools and their critical role in shaping future academic and professional landscapes.
The event concluded successfully with highly positive feedback from both students and faculty members, making it an enriching and impactful learning experience for all.
