Program Educational Objectives (PEOs);
- This course will introduce students to the principles of environmental engineering, which include concepts of biosphere, ecosystem, and environmental resources.
- The course aims to enable the students to gain an in-depth understanding of the various facets of environmental chemistry.
- Emphasizing on the relationship between the environment and the biosphere, students will develop an understanding of the various anthropogenic activities that have affected it.
- Students will be able to apply ethical and academic integrity in their work. They will also be able to evaluate the intrinsic suitability of various natural environments for sustainable urbanization and resource based uses.
- Students should understand the concepts of air pollution, Solid waste management, design and operation of various water and waste water treatment plants.
- The program aims to provide graduates with the knowledge and skills to formulate ethical and sustainable solutions to various environmental engineering problems.

- To Appreciate the need for, and preparedness to engage in lifelong learning.
- To Design a component, a system or process to meet the specific needs within the realistic constraints such as economics, environment, ethics, health, safety and manufacturability.
- To Identify, formulate, analyze, evaluate and solve engineering problems.
- Demonstrate ability to apply the principle of environmental engineering to design solutions to resolve environmental engineering problems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in report writing and communication through effective presentations on projects of the environment.
