On Thursday, October 22, 2020, the Department of Students Welfare, the Glocal University organized an awareness program in the nearby village Sherpur Pelo . The objective of the program was to spread awareness among the villagers, specially the girls about the need to educate the girls and encourage them to become independent. The awareness program was a part of Mission Shakti Campaign 2020, an initiative by UP Government. Honorable Chancellor, Glocal University, Haji Iqbal ji has always supported girl education and has also given several scholarships to girl students at Glocal University and School, with his inspiration this awareness campaign was planned in the nearby village today. Mr Narender ji ,Principal , Primary Government School , Sherpur Pelo and Goyal ji helped the Department of Students Welfare, in organizing the program at their school . The program was conducted by students and faculty members of Glocal University. Dr. Satish Sharma , Dr .N .K. Gupta , Prof. Priyadarshini Jain, Prof. Shivani , Dr. Kanupriya Gupta , Prof. Isha Talwar , Prof. Waseem , Prof. Shekar , Prof. Iqra , Prof. Alqama, Prof. Ankita Prof Sami, Mr. Fazian , Ms. Ronika along with the students participated in this awareness campaign. The members also distributed books and stationary to the girls in the village during the program.
