September 15 is celebrated every year in India as Engineers Day to commemorate the birthday of the legendary engineer Sir M. Visvesvaraya (1861-1962).  He served as the dewan of Mysore State and was considered to be the architect of the all-round development of Karnataka. 

Engineers Day was celebrated in The Glocal University organized by Computer Science Department. Mr. Wajid Ali ,pro-chancellor of the university was the chief guest for the event.The event started with cake cutting ceremony. After that, a documentary was presented by Kartik- student of B.Tech (CSE) III year which was based on the life of Sir M. Visvesvaraya and a speech was given by Anju Bhatt student of B.Tech (CSE) III year. This was followed by an address by the Additional Pro Chancellor of Glocal University. A quiz competition was also hosted by Manju Bhatt student of B.Tech (CSE) III year. The event was coordinated by Anju Bhatt, Manju Bhatt, Kamna Gupta and Saloni Sharma.
