The Glocal University community came together to observe Nirbhaya Diwas 2024, an event dedicated to honoring the memory of Nirbhaya and advocating for women’s safety, equality, and empowerment. The event was organized under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti, with the support of Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Sharma and supervision by Registrar Ms. Shivani Tiwari. The program was held in the university auditorium.

Drama Presentation
A powerful drama representing the theme was performed by the law students of Glocal University under the able guidance of Dr. Aateka Bano and Dr. Mohd Wazid Khan. The performance depicted the struggles and resilience of women in their fight for justice, leaving a lasting impact on the audience. The following students participated in the drama presentation: Sahil, Afzal, Salman, Muqtadir, Saniya, Mehak, Ateeka, Vaishali, Abu Huraira, Saniya Khan, Vikas, Alina, Prince, Ahtesham Ali, Gautam, Anjali, Asma Chauhan, Hussain, Muntasaha, Azeem, Farhat Khan, and Bushra Chauhan.
The back-end team includes Noor Azam, Sohail Khan and Satyam Kumar.
Awareness Lecture
An insightful lecture on women’s rights was delivered by Dr. Reshma Tahir. The session highlighted the importance of awareness, education, and empowerment in addressing gender-based issues and fostering gender eqality.
The event aimed to commemorate Nirbhaya’s legacy while providing a platform to discuss women’s rights and safety. Through the engaging presentations and discussions, attendees gained a deeper understanding of the challenges women face and the importance of taking proactive steps toward achieving gender equality.
The program witnessed active participation from students, faculty, and staff members of Glocal University. The audience lauded the efforts of the organizers and performers for creating a meaningful and thought-provoking event.
Nirbhaya Diwas 2024 successfully reinforced the message of women’s empowerment and safety, sparking meaningful discussions on the need for collective action. The event was successfully organized with the support of Dean of Glocal Law School, Prof. (Dr.) P. S. Panwar. The event was anchored by Noor Azam, with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Swarnima Singh, Dean Students’ Welfare. Distinguished attendees included Chief Proctor Mr. Md. Jamirul Islam, Mr. Mhd. Wasim, Dr. Gaurav Tyagi, Mr. Mukesh Biswas, Mr. Majid Ahmad, along with faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students from various departments of the university.
